Anticipated Timeline

Improvements to Farrington Park were originally approved in 2018 by Mendip District Council, the local planning authority at that time.

Following our engagement with club members and employees, we are in the process of seeking minor amendments on approved planning permissions to the Somerset Council with a particular focus on enhanced biodiversity.

The existing 27-holes are due to close in late spring, at which time a composite 18-hole course will open with free, unlimited access for all members until the end of the membership year. Construction is also expected to commence on the fantastic new 12-hole course.

After the end of the membership year, we will introduce a 14-hole composite course. From the end of June - end of September 2024, members will be able to play this course free of charge.

When the new 12-hole course opens, members will be invited to try the new course free of charge.

We are looking forward to updating all members in June with further available options from September.

Other improvement works will occur throughout autumn, including: the clubhouse, King Charles Hall, Farmhouse, Padel Tennis and Pickleball courts, family putting course, eco-cabins and farmstead lodges, and enhanced biodiversity.

Subject to unforeseen delays, the new 12-hole course is projected to open in autumn 2025.
